Infrastructure Updates

WestCycle is regularly in touch with State Government departments, local governments and the project teams delivering transport infrastructure upgrades in the Perth Metropolitan Area and around Western Australia.

To keep riders in the loop, we regularly share updates on infrastructure upgrades and disruptions to the path network, as well as calls for community input into bike plans, strategies and project designs.

From 8 July a PSP detour will operate using the newly constructed PSP adjacent to Belmont Park Racecourse.  The detour will operate for the whole project, with directional signage in place to guide path users at all times.

Traffic controllers will be present on the Leederville parade/Lake Monger Drive PSP, from around 8am-10am Wednesday 12 June.

WestCycle have been advised that day works affecting the Shared Path on Brady Street in Mt Hawthorn are required on Tuesday 11 June 9am-6pm.

Preliminary drainage and intersection works will be commencing mid-June, for the Evans Street, Excelsior Street and Keightley Road Safe Active Street project in Shenton Park.

Resurfacing works have been planned for the Stubbs Terrace PSP, between Hay Street and Nash Street in Daglish. Monday 10 June 2024, from 7am to 5pm, for 8 days.

Works next to the PSP near Pompei Crescent on 28, 30, and 31 May 7am-5pm. The PSP will remain open and users should not be disrupted by the works.

The PSP near the Hutton St on-ramp and Subiaco Restoration will have traffic controllers onsite, with stop/slow signs, on Monday 27 May 9am-3pm.

There will be night works (7pm-4am) on the turning pocket to the northbound on-ramp on Reid Highway.

There will be 3 traffic controllers present on the Erindale Road East PSP today (16/05/2024) from 7:30am-3pm.

Tim has been in senior leadership and strategic development roles for more than twenty years. He is currently Director of Executive Education in the School of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University and is a past Assistant Commissioner and General Manager in the public service. He is an Accountant (FCPA) and sits on the Divisional Council of CPA Australia.

Tim has been involved in racing mountain bikes, BMX and triathlon for many years, both as a father of two children who race and as a past and current bike racer. Tim is the current over-50 State Champion in downhill mountain biking. He is also a very regular and enthusiastic transport cyclist; frequently seen in a suit and tie riding to meetings in the city on a mountain bike.

Helen is a Town of Cottesloe councillor and is the current Chair of WestCycle’s Transport Advisory Group.

A medical doctor, Helen is a strong active transport advocate with a focus on health outcomes and social well-being.
