WestCycle have been advised that a closure of the footpath for the Waterbank Project (Lot 502 Trinity Avenue, East Perth) is required.
In May, DevelopmentWA commenced interim landscaping works to restore and activate the area, ensuring the site remains safe, accessible, and beneficial for the community while its long-term future is being considered.
These landscaping works include:
- New temporary playing fields
- Native landscaping
- Footpaths, lighting, CCTV and verge upgrades
To allow installation of new footpaths, access to the riverside footpath will be closed from 15 September 2025 to 5 December 2025. Warning and detour signage will be in place.
Alternative route
During the closure, pedestrians and cyclists can use the signposted detour via Trinity Avenue, Braithwaite Street, Hay Street and the Causeway.
