We are excited to announce the return on the Perth Hills Gran Fondo after a hiatus due to the pandemic. The Perth Hills Gran Fondo has its roots from the City of Armadale Grand Fondo which historically is the first ever Gran Fondo ever held in Western Australia and thus no new arrival to the scene of community participation events.
This ride sees the introduction of three category of rides which transverse through the Perth Hills covering Kalamunda, Gooseberry Hill, Boya, Darlington, Mundaring, Carmel and Pickering Brook, all commencing for the same great start location, the Hills Emporio in Karragullen.
The Piccolo is 47km, the Medio 86km and the Gran 136km
Event Date: Sunday 28th April 2024
Time: Staggered start from 600 am for the different distances. Please see below for the category start times.
Start / Finish: Hills Emporio, 1615 Canning Road, Karragullen
Distances
There will be three categories available with different price points and also reflecting the level of technicality of this Gran Fondo event
Piccolo – 45-50 km which will see riders mostly at the top end of the Perth Hills covering the iconic and breathtaking Zig Zag with the primary climb back up to Kalamunda and through the apex of Pickering Brook back to Karragullen.
