The Goldfields Cyclassic is a two-day event across the Goldfields over the WA Day long weekend, from Kalgoorlie-Boulder to Menzies and then to Leonora.
With generous prize money up for grabs EACH day across a variety of events and grades, the Cyclassic is a marvelous opportunity for both professional and amateur riders offering the complete outback cycling experience!
Day One: The Shire of Menzies Classic – Chas Egan Memorial Race, Community Challenge
Graded handicap race from Kalgoorlie-Boulder to Menzies:The race, being a handicap event, means all riders are placed behind the first rider over the line, regardless of which grade they ride in. Hence riders from all grades have the opportunity to win Line Honours.
Day Two: Leonora Golden Wheels, Leonora Women’s Classic, Cyclassic Criterium
Separate men’s and women’s races from Menzies to Leonora including:
Leonora Goldens Wheels: Men’s race consisting of four graded scratch races
Leonora Women’s Cycling Classic: Women’s handicap race
Cyclassic Criterium: Elite men’s street race in Leonora (invitation only)

If you’re not a racing cyclist no need to worry, for weekend enthusiasts who would still like to take part this exciting and iconic event, the Cyclassic Community Challenge is a great way to explore the Goldfields and enjoy the achievement of completing the Menzies Classic with like-minded colleagues or friends.
The weekend enthusiasts who wish to ride at a more social pace but would love to be included in this exciting event may enter the Cyclassic Community Challenge Ride and enjoy the achievement of completing the Menzies Classic course.

Elected Director | Off Road
Tim has been in senior leadership and strategic development roles for more than twenty years. He is currently Director of Executive Education in the School of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University and is a past Assistant Commissioner and General Manager in the public service. He is an Accountant (FCPA) and sits on the Divisional Council of CPA Australia.
Tim has been involved in racing mountain bikes, BMX and triathlon for many years, both as a father of two children who race and as a past and current bike racer. Tim is the current over-50 State Champion in downhill mountain biking. He is also a very regular and enthusiastic transport cyclist; frequently seen in a suit and tie riding to meetings in the city on a mountain bike.

Helen is a Town of Cottesloe councillor and is the current Chair of WestCycle’s Transport Advisory Group.
A medical doctor, Helen is a strong active transport advocate with a focus on health outcomes and social well-being.
