WestCycle has been contacted by Water Corporation with the following temporary road closure update.
As you would be aware, we are upgrading the wastewater network in Applecross, Ardross and Mount Pleasant. We have been working along Canning Beach Road to install new underground pipeline and emergency storage.
Due to difficult ground conditions our progress has been slower than anticipated. To ensure we can continue to work safely, Canning Beach Road and adjoining footpaths near Moreau Mews will remain closed until 12 May 2023.
Please avoid the area and follow traffic management throughout the work to ensure the safety of road users and the community.
What other construction impacts will this work have?
There are multiple construction projects in the area, causing an increase in truck movements, noise and dust. We thank you for your continued patience and ask that you continue being cautious at this busy time to ensure everyone stays safe.
The shared path and parking along Canning Beach road, near Moreau Mews, will also remain closed. Signage is onsite to direct cyclists and pedestrians around the area safely
