PSP Extension – Hester Avenue to Romeo Road

WestCycle has been contacted by Mitchel Extension Joint Venture with the following Construction Update for the PSP network opening 10th July 2023.

As part of the Mitchell Freeway Extension project, 5.6kms of new Principal Shared Path (PSP) is being constructed on the western side of the freeway from Hester Avenue to Romeo Road.
It will be an uninterrupted journey with PSP underpasses at Lukin Drive and Butler Boulevard.

Shared paths and footpaths are also being constructed along the new Romeo Road alignment, linking the path network with Wanneroo Road and Marmion Avenue.

To support PSP users, access points are strategically positioned along the freeway alignment to allow convenient and safe access (refer to map). The PSP access points are as follows:

Ridgewood
• Vanderlin Crescent
• Corinda Way
• Kilkee Street
• Navan Way
• Lukin Drive

Butler
• Birchwood Loop
• Manasota Approach
• Tobermory Crescent
• Butler Boulevard

Alkimos
• Myrlea Trail
• Romeo Road

Neerabup National Park
• Lukin Drive
• Butler Boulevard
• Romeo Road

There will be dedicated paths on the Lukin Drive and Butler Boulevard interchanges to connect with the Neerabup National Park. A fauna and pedestrian underpass at Romeo Road
will align with the Yaberoo Budjara Walking Trail and connect to the paths on Romeo Road.

The project is scheduled to open in 10th July 2023.
