Board Appointments - CALL FOR expressions of interest (EOI's)

In accordance with WestCycle’s Constitution, the Board Appointments Panel are seeking expressions of interest (EOIs) from individuals interested in filling one vacancy for a three-year term in a voluntary capacity. The vacant position is:

  • Member Elected Director – Road & Recreation

The Panel is seeking candidates who can support the delivery of WestCycle’s Strategic Plan by bringing relevant expertise and a strong understanding of Western Australia’s riding community.

Essential:

  • Strong links, networks, and understanding of road or recreational riding groups.

Desirable: 

  • Government Relations
  • PR & Communications
  • Not for Profit enterprises including membership and funding
  • ICT
  • Qualifications in board directorship (e.g. the AICD Company Director Course) are desirable but not essential.

Once applications are received, the Board Appointments Panel will develop a shortlist for interviews, based upon the candidate attributes, the ability to support the delivery of the strategic plan and meet the requirements as determined by the skills matrix.

The position will be determined by a vote of the Organisation Members at the AGM on 24th November 2025.

Tim Roach

Elected Director | Off Road

Tim has been in senior leadership and strategic development roles for more than twenty years. He is currently Director of Executive Education in the School of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University and is a past Assistant Commissioner and General Manager in the public service. He is an Accountant (FCPA) and sits on the Divisional Council of CPA Australia.

Tim has been involved in racing mountain bikes, BMX and triathlon for many years, both as a father of two children who race and as a past and current bike racer. Tim is the current over-50 State Champion in downhill mountain biking. He is also a very regular and enthusiastic transport cyclist; frequently seen in a suit and tie riding to meetings in the city on a mountain bike.

Helen Sadler

Independent Director

Helen is a Town of Cottesloe councillor and is the current Chair of WestCycle’s Transport Advisory Group.

A medical doctor, Helen is a strong active transport advocate with a focus on health outcomes and social well-being.
