Kick off the school holidays at the Booyeembara Park Mountain Bike Trails Fest!
Join City of Fremantle as they officially open the new trails on Saturday 1 July from 10am–3pm with a jam-packed day of fun.
The first of its kind in WA, the new Booyeembara Park Mountain Bike Trails feature two trails for intermediate and experienced riders and a beginners’ pump track.
This epic fest will be a great opportunity to see the new trails in action and learn how to use them safely.

Getting there
We encourage you to ride, walk or catch public transport. Bus 502 stops along Watkins Street and is a short five-minute walk to the trails (please note bikes are not permitted on busses). There will be additional bike parking on the day. Alternatively, there is limited parking along Montreal Street, Fremantle.

Road closure notice
Please note the road will be closed on Stevens St, between Fisher St and Yalgoo Ave, White Gum Valley on Saturday 1 July between 8am–4pm for the event.

Elected Director | Off Road
Tim has been in senior leadership and strategic development roles for more than twenty years. He is currently Director of Executive Education in the School of Business and Law at Edith Cowan University and is a past Assistant Commissioner and General Manager in the public service. He is an Accountant (FCPA) and sits on the Divisional Council of CPA Australia.
Tim has been involved in racing mountain bikes, BMX and triathlon for many years, both as a father of two children who race and as a past and current bike racer. Tim is the current over-50 State Champion in downhill mountain biking. He is also a very regular and enthusiastic transport cyclist; frequently seen in a suit and tie riding to meetings in the city on a mountain bike.
Independent Director
Helen is a Town of Cottesloe councillor and is the current Chair of WestCycle’s Transport Advisory Group.
A medical doctor, Helen is a strong active transport advocate with a focus on health outcomes and social well-being.
