Canola Classic is back in 2026!

Hello yellow! Just an hour’s drive from Perth, the Canola Classic has quickly become one of WA’s beloved mass participation rides through in-bloom canola fields in the stunning Shire of York

On Sunday, 23rd August choose one (57km) or two (98km) loops on quiet, undulating Avon Valley roads.  The rides are designed to be accessible, but are challenging with 600m and 1200m of climbing over the two routes. The rides are fully supported with an aid station where you can replenish with Winners nutrition products and more.

Enter as an individual or as a team – sharing the ride and clocking a collective team time!

The Canola Classic celebrates cycling but also the region and families – why not make a weekend of it to explore the Avon Valley’s wildflower trails, check antique fairs, visit miniature railways, take hot air balloon rides, stargaze and hit farmer’s markets, eateries and wineries, and more! Find out more here.

And let’s not forget the post-event celebrations! Share your ride’s epic moments and boasting rights over a post-event lunch at the York Recreation Centre!

Keep up to date with the latest on WestCycle Events socials.

See you in York!

57km ride

This ride is accessible to most bike riders at 57km but with 600m of climbing, it’s more than a pootle to the shops!

A couple of pre-excursion training rides into your local hills is recommended so you can maximise enjoyment of the lush scenery riding solo or in a team!

98km RIDE

The 98km ride takes on the rolling Avon Valley loop twice to put 1200m of climbing in the legs and some fun, flowing descents!

There’s an aid station half way around, plenty of picture opps if that’s your thing, and a final short haul back to the finish line. Job done!
