Causeway Bridge Path Closure

WestCycle have been advised that a water leak has been identified on a critical water distribution main located beneath the Causeway Bridge on the Perth side. This repair requires the replacement of a valve on the Victoria Park side of the bridge.

To ensure the safety of all users, the cycle and pedestrian pathway beneath the Causeway Bridge will be closed during the works. Traffic management will be in place throughout the duration of the works to support cyclist and pedestrian movements. These works will be carried out continuously over a 48 hour period.

Start: 8pm Tuesday 26 August 2025

End: 8pm Thursday 28 August 2025

To assist with awareness, digital signage will be deployed from Monday 18 August. Light vehicles and trucks associated with the works will have a lay down area on a grassed area near the tunnel entrance, on the Burswood side. Additionally, the welders’ vehicle will approach the tunnel entrance via the cycle/pedestrian path, at the time their presence is required.

WestCycle is waiting for more information regarding the exact impacts on riders and will update this page when we know more.

Water Corporation appreciates your cooperation and understanding as they carry out these important works.

For further enquiries, phone Water Corporation on 13 13 85.
