WestCycle in collaboration with CHOYCES recently visited Clontarf Academy at Coodanup College, aimed at promoting wellbeing and active transport behaviours. Josh and Sam conducted an engaging workshop for the students, focusing on the essential aspects of bike maintenance. Beyond simply learning about bike upkeep, the workshop served as a platform for the students to acquire new skills and foster their problem-solving abilities.
The event was a great success, with everyone having a blast, and it was heartwarming to witness these young individuals embracing and cultivating lifelong skills in cycling.
We extend our gratitude and appreciation to the Road Safety Commission for generously funding and supporting the program. Their commitment to promoting road safety and investing in programs like this, that encourage active transportation and skills development among youth is fantastic.
