Event Details:

EXSS X-Tri Off Road Triathlon first took place five years ago at the picturesque Lake Leschenaultia in Chidlow, and it has quickly become one of the most beloved races of the season among participants. The event offers a fantastic off-road triathlon experience set against the stunning backdrop of Lake Leschenaultia, making it a favorite among athletes.

Located just 50 km from the heart of Perth, the race is easily accessible, making it the most convenient cross triathlon in the state of Western Australia.

Triathletes participating in the event will have the opportunity to swim in the pristine freshwater of Lake Leschenaultia. Following the swim, they will tackle the newly constructed mountain bike trails, which offer an exciting mix of single track with jumps and alternate routes for those who prefer a less adventurous approach. The trails wind through the beautiful Western Australian bushland, providing a scenic and thrilling ride for competitors. The course has been designed as a lap course, allowing friends, family, and spectators to catch multiple glimpses of the athletes throughout the race. After the bike leg, participants will transition to the Lake Loop Run trail, which wraps around the lake, leading them to the exhilarating finish.

In addition to the traditional triathlon, this year’s event includes Duathlon options for both short and long courses. The Duathlon replaces the swim segment with a running lap around the lake, offering an alternative for those who prefer to stay on land.

The EXSS X-Tri Off Road Triathlon Long Course event has been granted the prestigious WA Triathlon State Championship Event, the WA Triathlon State Multisport Series  and also World Triathlon World Championship Qualifying Event (WQE) status for Off-Road Triathlon, a testament to its exceptional quality and appeal.

Prepare yourself for an incredible off-road triathlon experience at Lake Leschenaultia and seize the opportunity to qualify for the World Triathlon World Championship. It’s an event not to be missed!
