This program is part of our Connecting Communities project and only available to public schools in Albany and Geraldton.

Did you know a 2021 study from the WA Department of Transport found that only 20% of students actively travel to school? That’s lower than the national average of 25%. We want to change that.

We’re launching the Walk & Wheel 2 School Package to help schools get kids moving. This isn’t about reinventing the wheel – it’s about providing support and resources to schools.

Thanks to the support of Healthway for funding this Connecting Communities Initiative.

Package Includes

  • Funding $2100 ex GST to host 4 events (prize + catering) per year
  • Student Worksheets
  • Stickers
  • Marketing Support

The program is currently invite only and available to public primary schools in Geraldton and Albany.

RESOURCES

This resource section provides engaging, grade-appropriate materials designed to help educators easily introduce the benefits of active travel. These ready-to-use worksheets reinforce the positive impact of leaving the car at home, promoting both personal well-being and a cleaner local environment.

MARKETING

We want to make this event as easy as possible to deliver. We have created a marketing flyer that any school can use to communicate with their local community. Fill out the form and we will send over a completed image.
