Reopening of the Kwinana Freeway PSP

WestCycle has been contacted by Main Roads with the following update on the reopening of the Kwinana Freeway PSP. The line marking for the newly installed PSP is happening on this coming Saturday with the PSP due to be reopened on Sunday morning at 7:00 am.

“Pedestrians, cyclists, and e-riders will be able to use the full length of the Principal Shared Path (PSP) along the Kwinana Freeway after the completion of important works between Thelma and Cale Streets in Como.

The path will reopen on Sunday morning (7:00 am), 28 May after the completion of significant works to the revetment wall supporting the PSP, replacing the PSP between these locations, replacing existing drainage and replacing the rock pitching in the river to ensure that we don’t have to disrupt users on this section for these reasons for another half-century.

Main Roads is sincerely grateful to those many pedestrians, cyclists and e-riders impacted by the six-month closure of the PSP which required them to detour across the Cale and Thelma Street Bridges in
Como and thanks them for their patience. There are still some revegetation works to be done after the path opening which will be done under local traffic control.”
