Main Roads have advised that the current path detour at Point Fraser (as part of the Causeway Pedestrian and Cyclist Bridges Project) will be changing.
A section of the shared path, adjacent to the City of Perth car park, near About Bike Hire, will be closed until late October 2024, to facilitate landscaping.
This only affects access to About Bike Hire. The detour remains the same for path users travelling to Perth City, East Perth, Victoria Park or On The Point.
The existing path detour, implemented along the northern side of Riverside Drive and adjacent to the river since early 2024, will remain in place with temporary traffic management and controls. Path users will continue to be given priority to cross the closed section of Riverside Drive, which is currently open to construction traffic only.
Path users accessing these areas are advised to take extra care and follow signage. Please see the detour map below:
