Team USA rider, Ashton Lambie, holder of the 4km Individual Pursuit World Record will be joining Track Cycling WA for February 8th race night Midvale SpeedDome, Feb 8th 2019, 7 pm. 

Track Cycling WA is proud to announce that with Team USA currently training in Perth for the upcoming 2019 World Track Cycling Championships, several of their riders will be joining in our February 8th International Race Meeting. This includes Ashton Lambie, who burst into the forefront of cycling media attention when he broke the 4km Individual Pursuit World Record with a time of 4:07.251 – an average speed of 58.24km/h – at the Pan-American Championships in August 2018. Joining Lambie and his Team USA teammates on the track with be a South African contingent lead by Adélia Neethling who raced in the Women’s Teams Pursuit at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Representing Western Australia will be 1983 World Champion Steele Bishop, 2016 Junior World Championship medallist Jade Haines, and her sister, Junior Nation Champion Dharlia Haines. They will also be joined by several WAIS athletes including multi-time National Champion Kye Bonser, along with a host of local riders to keep showing the world that Western Australia continues to produce world-class cyclists.

In addition to the riders on the track we will also be joined by current National Road Champion, 2011 World Track Champion, and 2010 Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist Michael Freiberg who will be available to meet and encourage the riders present.
