The Western Australian Schools Mountain Bike Championships are an annual event held in Goat Farm Mountain Bike Park with this year’s event being presented by Smarter than Smoking. The event provided schools with the opportunity to compete amongst one another, with both experienced and novice riders participating.
This year the event was held from September 6 – 7, and for the first time was open to Primary school students in addition to Secondary school students. Riders from Years 3 – 6 competed in a Primary School Challenge where they raced to complete as many laps as possible on a 1 – 2 km loop over 25 minutes.
