Updated 23 March 2020
Late-September 2019 to Early-2022
- Trinity Avenue and the adjacent shared path will be closed from 22 January 2020 until early 2022
- The shared path along the foreshore will be closed and diverted to the adjacent (new) road from 23 March for approximately 3 weeks
Works commenced to construct a new shared path around the boundary of the Waterbank development site late-September 2019. These works included the realignment of the existing shared path between the Causeway underpass along the river to Trinity Avenue.
The new shared path will also open shortly, which will enable cyclists to travel around the full Waterbank site. The existing route along the river continues to be open as normal.
From 22 January 2020 until early 2022, Trinity Avenue will be closed at the Hay Street intersection. This road closure will facilitate the installation of future main drain infrastructure and enable civil works associated with the progression of the Waterbank development.
Access to Trinity College will be maintained via a new road accessible from the Causeway through the Waterbank site or via the existing Trinity College accessways on Neilson Crescent and Braithwaite Street. Access to the Waterbank Sales and Information Centre will be via the new road accessible from the Causeway through the Waterbank site.
Cyclists and pedestrians will be able to access the precinct via a new shared path from Hay Street to The Causeway and through the Waterbank site
Please be aware of changed conditions and follow the directions of signage at all times.
