Swan River Recreation Shared Path Closure (near the East Perth Power Station)

14 February 2019 to late-February 2019.

The Swan River Recreation Shared Path near the East Perth Power Station will be closed on Thursday 14 February 2019. The works are scheduled to commence on Thursday 14 February 2019 and are expected to take seven days, pending weather and other conditions.

As part of its Capital Works projects, the City of Vincent will be upgrading the Recreational Shared Path at Banks Reserve, between Summers Street and the Windan Bridge in East Perth.

The path has been in poor condition from other works recently undertaken in the area and due to tree root damage. The City is taking the opportunity to upgrade and realign the path to minimise root damage as well as to allow for revegetation and foreshore restoration works to be undertaken in the future. Cyclists will be asked to dismount during the works

Please note: WestCycle was not consulted on the closure or on the “detour”.
