STATE ROAD SAFETY STRATEGY FOR WA CONSULTATION

State Road Safety Strategy For WA Consultation – June to September 2019

The Road Safety Council is calling on all West Australians to contribute towards the future of road safety as it drafts a new strategy for the State Government to consider. As part of the development of a new road safety strategy for WA, a three-month consultation period will allow you the opportunity to consider the latest research and provide informed and constructive feedback that will contribute to the development of the strategy, making a difference for decades to come.

If we are to achieve zero death or serious injuries on our roads, we need to talk about all of our options. If you haven’t already, please get involved in the Road Safety Council’s consultation process for a new road safety strategy for WA – visit the below website for links to read the consultation paper and register to attend a community forum. https://westcycle.org.au/the-road-safety-council-commences-community-consultation-for-the-future-of-road-safety-in-wa/

We have also put some information on the website about the “safe system” approach and what that might mean from a cycling perspective https://westcycle.org.au/how-the-safe-system-approach-can-improve-cycling-safety
