West Australia’s Robert Power has completed a hat trick of European results, winning his third event in as many starts at the weekend.

Power took out the GP Capodarco in spectacular fashion following victories at GP Poggiana and Trofeo Briga Novarese.

With 500 metres to go, and after 180km of racing Robert attacked and rode away over an 18% kick-up through to the finish village.

This last deviation is at the top of a four kilometre climb that was completed every 18 kilometres with the steep kick-up on the final two laps.

The result is a memorable win, to give Rob three victories in just 10 days!

There was also some solid work with Jack on the final 4km climb to set-up Rob’s final attack.

Jack rode well to only just miss the podium in fourth.

Great teamwork all round, staff included, to set up these wins.

This Saturday, the Tour de l’Avenir starts in Saint Flour, France with an evening 4.5km prologue followed by seven very testing stages – four mountain top finishes in the last four days.
