Mount Street Bridge Diversion – Perth – Reopened

  • The Mount Street Bridge was reopened on 4 October 2019 after $3m of safety improvement and refurbishment works.

The Mount Street Bridge was closed from 6 May to Late September 2019  to allow Main Roads WA to undertake refurbishment works.

The work involves replacing the central mast and stay wires, application of protective and anti-graffiti coating, reinforcement of the balustrade and installation of feature lighting to the new mast and LED strip lighting.

Replacement of mast and stay wires will require the Mount Street Pedestrian Bridge to be closed from Monday 6 May to Friday 16 August 2019. Detours will be in place for pedestrians and cyclists.
