WestCycle are pleased to announce the launch of an exciting new bike education program for Lancelin Primary School that will run throughout the month of November.
Thanks to the generous support of the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries, WestCycle delivered round three of The Element Road Series in Lancelin in August 2019.
Building on the momentum of the Element a program for primary school students which aims to raise the profile of, and participation in, cycling within the Lancelin community is being launched. The first part of the program will be delivered by Bike Smart to Year 4 and 5 students at the School on the 13th of November, and will also include a small session with Pre-Primary and Year 1 students.
A second session is scheduled for the 28th of November for Year 2 – 6 students and comprises a Mountain Bike skills session held by Rock n Roll Mountain Biking on 28 November which will cater for 25 students, taking through the fundamentals of off-road riding.
The State Government through the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries and Lotterywest is a major supporter of WestCycle and cycling in Western Australia. Sport and recreation builds stronger, healthier, happier and safer communities.
