Hamilton Street Bridge (Subiaco) Replacement – Announcement

On 5 October 2018, the Minister for Transport; Planning & Lands announced that improved pedestrian and cycling access will be a key upgrade for new Hamilton St Bridge in Subiaco, which will provide linkages to the Fremantle Principal Shared Path and to the future Inner City College.

The new bridge will comprise of two 3.5-metre traffic lanes, two 1.2-metre shoulder lanes, a three-metre shared path on the west side and a three-metre footpath on the east side of the new bridge.

The tender for a new bridge to replace the existing 99-year-old timber bridge has now been released. Following the tender evaluation, a contract will be awarded late in 2018 with project completion expected in mid-2019.
