The Bridges Night Ride will take you on a magical night ride around the upper and lower reaches of the Swan River on the Saturday the 1st June 2019 from 6.30pm. Dubbed ‘Christmas in June’ – it is an excellent time for us to rug up and dress up in our Christmas best with Christmas Lights and ride for the benefit of our nominated charity The Fathering Project.
Bike lights are a must for this ride, but we want you to go one step further. Dress up in your brightest reflective gear and decorate your bikes with lights, reflective strips and glow sticks.
40 km: Takes the developing rider through from Applecross through to the Freeway Bike Pathway towards the Western suburbs where, close to the Swan River. Riding through nature reserves and marshland on established pathways you’ll find hidden gems along the river, and view the rivers eco-system in the fading light of day.
70 km: Takes the established cyclist looking for more of a challenge, through the upper reaches of the Swan River down to Fremantle and back to Applecross. The course includes a combination of established routes together with hidden gems, including views of the river seldom seen, and often less appreciated. Rediscover your adventure for riding through the 70 km route.

There is a lot that we can do to support Men to become better Fathers for their Children and this event aims to raise the awareness of The Fathering Project which has already received Commonwealth recognition to be instilled in every school in Australia. PLEASE NOTE THAT IF THERE IS ‘AT EVENT’ REGISTRATIONS ALLOWED PERMITTED (TO BE DECIDED 1 WEEK BEFORE THE EVENT) THAT THERE WILL BE AN ADMINISTATIVE FEE OF $20 FOR LATE ENTRIES WHICH IS PAYABLE AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION.
Who should attend:
This event is mostly suited for teens and adults and we are encouraging as many children as possible to ride with their Dads for the 40 km distance.
Minimum age to ride the 70km event is 18 years on the day of the event.
Minimum age to ride the 40km event is 12 years on the day of the event. Please note, that it a REQUIREMENT for ANY 12-17 year old riders registered for the 40km event, that a registered accompanying adult be riding with them at all times.
