With hundreds of thousands of Western Australian school students return to the classroom this week, motorists are urged to be extra vigilant on the roads, especially around our schools.

This week the WA government has also announced $107,000 worth of initiatives aimed at teaching children key road safety messages is being funded from the Road Trauma Trust Account.

Police and Road Safety Minister Roberts said: “Some students may be walking or riding to school for the first time and I urge all parents to discuss road safety with their child and for all drivers to heed the 40kmh speed limit”. Read the full statement HERE.
