Major Works and Infrastructure Updates
There are plenty of new places to ride to look forward to this weekend and in the coming months with the opening of the Kwinana Freeway and Tonkin Highway PSP projects and others nearing completion. Below is a summary of the latest news and updates from around WA.
Kwinana Freeway Principal Shared Path – Farrington Road to Kentucky Court

The Kwinana Freeway PSP has been widened and upgraded as part of the Kwinana Fwy Northbound Widening and Murdoch Drive Upgrade Projects. As part of this project, the PSP was widened to 4m and built slightly west of where it currently sits, to the edge of the road reserve and the neighbouring properties. Some of the PSP access points have changed, with some upgraded and others closed permanently.
Please note that the detour from Kentucky Court to Armadale Road will remain in place to allow the construction of the Armadale-North Lake Rd Bridge.

The opening of this third and final section, completes the 40km+ link from Railway Parade in Bayswater to Muchea with a fully separated 4m-wide Principal Shared Path that also connects to the Reid Highway PSP that is currently being extended between Altone and West Swan Roads.
Please note that Muchea is a part of the Wheatbelt region and intrastate travel restrictions are still in place.
RAC Arena Path Update
The accessway on the northern side of RAC Arena has reopened whilst there are no events at RAC Arena. Future options to improve safety around the arena during event-times are being explored and will include managed closures of the accessway during event times. We will provide further updates and share the schedule of works once these details have been finalised.
