Volunteers Needed for Mountain Bike Working Group

WestCycle, in conjunction with the Department of Parks and Wildlife (DPaW) and the Western Australian Mountain Bike Association (WAMBA), is seeking volunteers to help guide mountain bike trail development in Western Australia.

In 2006 DPaW prepared Draft Mountain Bike Management Guidelines for mountain biking activities being undertaken on DPaW managed lands.  Since then there has been considerable development in mountain biking activities and Expressions of Interest are being sought to participate in a Mountain Bike Working Group (MTBWG).

The revised guidelines will assist DPaW staff in consistent management of mountain bike activities on DPaW managed lands including planning, building and maintenance. They will also be available to the wider mountain biking community including, clubs, land managers, trail builders etc.

If you are interested in joining the group, please read the attached documents and fill out the application form by clicking the link below.

Closing date for submitting an Expression of Interest is 4 October 2013.
