AustCycle Teacher Training Programs

Formed in 2008, AustCycle is Australia’s only national cycling accreditation program whose aim is to provide training for all levels of cycling and to encourage the community to get on their bikes. 

AustCycle training covers all the necessary skills to safely enjoy riding your bicycle with beginner, intermediate and advanced programs available and delivered through AustCycle accredited teachers and providers. In order to become and AustCycle teacher, individuals need to:

Complete a one-day CycleSkill Coach Training Program conducted by Cycling Australia 
Complete the free online Beginner Coaching General Principles course found here or hold an NCAS Level 1 Coach Accreditation
Be a Registered School Teacher with a Bachelor of Education (or equivalent School Teacher university qualification)
Complete a 2-day NCAS Level 1 AustCycle Teacher Accreditation Program
