2015/16 Perth Bicycle Network Grants Open

The 2015-16 Perth Bicycle Network Local Government Grants Program provides Local Governments with the opportunity to apply for State Government funding on a matched dollar-for-dollar basis.

The primary function of this grants program is to assist in the design and construction of new shared paths and on-road bicycle lanes to the local bicycle networks around the metro region, and to provide strategic connections to schools, train stations, major bus stations, as well as major activity centres in order to deliver a safe and connected metropolitan bicycle network in Perth.

The program also funds local bicycle plans, end-of-trip facilities and other innovative infrastructure.

The Department of Transport has also launched the Connecting Schools Grant Program, aimed at improving bicycle access and end of trip facilities for local schools. This is the first time the Department of Transport has opened up the program so that schools can now directly apply for funding if the project is located completely within their school boundary. For more information please read the Connecting Schools Information Pack.

Please note that each category now has an individual application form. Please read and understand the program guidelines before filling out the application/s.

The program opens Friday 29 August 2014 and closes 24 October 2014.

Please note that the draft WA Bicycle Plan Guidelines are currently being finalised and will be uploaded shortly.
